This series of work was produced to show my own faith and spirituality.  The work is for sale unless otherwise stated.

Sacred Heart

A contemporary take on an old catholic image.  Displayed using an unashamedly male angel figure and a biological diagram of the human heart.  Large scale for impact, I used orange and yellow to give the feeling of burning passion.

Methods: Hand painted muslin, clear gutta, free machine embroidery, screen print, quilting and beadwork.

Earth Mother

Promotes the idea that God may well be female.  Presented in a crucifiction format without actually being crucified.  Colours were chosen to represent the elements water, air, fire and earth.  The frame was made from reclaimed mdf, scorched with an agricultural branding iron.

Methods: Hand painted silk, free machine embroidery and quilting.
