This series of work was produced to show my own faith and spirituality. The work is for sale unless otherwise stated.
Rainbow Jack
Produced for the “I can sing a rainbow” Exhibition at Studio 61. For this work, I took the symbols of the major religions and applied them to a Union Jack motif. The fabric used in this piece was donated by a Sikh family, and was bought in India. The idea was to produce an image that promoted religious and ethnic diversity in the UK and a hope that we can all coexist peacefully. The colours of the fabric also represent the colours of the Gay Pride flag, making it personal to myself. The free machining in the fabric was performed by the manufacturer.
Methods: Applique, machine embroidery, couched cord.

Methods: Silk paint, gutta and free machine embroidery.
